ABOUT US
The Cornell Investments Club is a student-led organization at Cornell University that brings together a tight-knit community of students passionate about finance and investing. The club fosters both a learning and social environment, helping members build knowledge, gain real-world experience, and connect with like-minded peers who share a curiosity for the financial world.
New Member Education
New members participate in a 10-week educational program designed to teach core financial concepts and investing strategies. Members participate in a variety of lectures to prepare them for a career in investing, learning skills like financial accounting, valuation, excel, presentation, investment research, and more. You’ll get the chance to manage a simulated portfolio, collaborate on projects, and explore different areas of finance such as investment banking, sales and trading, private equity, asset management, and more. It’s a hands-on experience that equips members with practical skills while expanding their understanding of the financial world.
New York City Trek
Our members travel to NYC to meet with our alumni and visit top finance firms, giving us access to private information sessions, building tours, and exclusive networking opportunities.
The CICommunity
CIC is nothing without its people. The support, bonds, and memories we share are what make our club what it is. Scroll through some of our favourite moments!
Investment Philosophy
We seek to outperform the market by making concentrated investments in mispriced assets that are misunderstood, out-of-favour, or too illiquid for institutional investors. Our permanent capital base and flexible mandate allow us to invest with a unique perspective across sectors, asset classes, and geographies. Investments are developed through in-depth fundamental analysis.
